Italian term or phrase: quota
I'm translating the description of software which can import the shape files obtained from surveying a terrain for 2D or 3D rendering. One of the options in the import dialog is: "Quote da dbf: con questa opzione puoi scegliere se usare le quote della primitiva grafica del .shp o se leggerle dal .dbf allegato". In this context, would I be right in translating "quote" as "height" o "height attributes"? Thanks for confirmation (or other suggestions!), Sarah.

Explanation:
I suggest Dimension(s) as Height is just that (height - one dimension) whereas by dimension you may convey many attributes (height, width, length etc) .. as in any case you said that it deals with 2d and 3d objects. So three axes.. :)

Explanation:
I suggest Dimension(s) as Height is just that (height - one dimension) whereas by dimension you may convey many attributes (height, width, length etc) .. as in any case you said that it deals with 2d and 3d objects. So three axes.. :)

Explanation:
Quota normally refers to elevation or height. You got it right.

I don't think an Italian would use the term term 'quota' to describe a width or length!
