English translation: Mitchell bearing cage

Tech/Engineering - Mechanics / Mech Engineering / motor pump on board a ship
Italian term or phrase: gabbia mitchel
I think mitchel may be a typo in the original but I cannot find reference to anything similar online. Mitchel must be a brand name...Any ideas?

The context is a manual with instructions for maintenance of a motor pump:

Sistemare le sfere, i pattini, la gabbia mitchel, ralla in grafite, la nuova guarnizione paracolpi, inserire nel suo alloggio la linguetta, montare la ralla in acciaio e serrare con le ghiere blocca ralla

English translation:Mitchell bearing cage
Explanation:
Gabbia is usually translated as "cage" in relation to bearings

When putting the bearing cage back into the head or the sideplate I have always put them back with the opening part of the cage to the inside of the housing or facing in to the rotor, the rotor one is for me the one I always worry about with the chance of a bearing coming out and flopping about in the head not that it should be possible, saying this the shims would normally prevent this from happening, it would be very difficult for either cage to come apart once in the reel.

Notes to answerer
Asker: I also use Deepl but cross checking online there is no other mention of this term as writeaway said

neutral  writeaway: Have you checked anywhere else to see if this (or other DeepL suggestions) actually plays in the real world?

disagree  Rosanna Palermo: Mitchell is a type of bearing. DeepL, like Google translate, cannot be taken at face value.

Reference: thrust bearing

Reference information:
a kind of bearing patented by Australian engineer George Mitchell. I think "gabbia" refers to the whole thing.
