as approximated by the Normal / rounded normally Explanation: Or "as approximated by those of the Normal (distribution)" It's not clear exactly what they are doing but most likely they are calculating confidence intervals for the sampling distribution of a proportion. That's done by starting from the confidence intervals of a normal distribution and (if necessary) making a correction to them.
