Explanation:
I think the technique here involves arranging the glass chips/tesserae and then heating them in a kiln until they stick together (fusing). There is no mortar, cement, or glue holding them together the way a glass mosaic made on a wall would have, but rather the glass melts enough to bond to itself and can also be slumped in/over a mold in a second firing.
