Italian term or phrase: Costo di Caricamento
The Costo di Caricamento is a charge which is applied to insurance policies when the policy is signed - is there a proper translation for this in English. I considered Operation Costs, however later in the text the Caricamento is referred to without the 'Costo', perhaps Set up Costs would be better?

Expense load/Expense loading/Loading charge

Explanation:
This is a more specific term than is suggested in the discussion/suggestions. You'll see that the Italian Wiki explanation and the IRMI glossary definition tally exactly.

This is the amount the insurer adds to an insurance premium to cover business expenses and contingencies.

If you google the above terms, you'll see "Expense load" is the most common. The other two are also widely used. The important thing is to include the word "load"!
