Augen gneiss Explanation: If it says occhiadini, you know it has to be something to do with eyes. From there, it's a relatively simple step to the following: Augen (from German "eyes") are large, lenticular eye-shaped mineral grains or mineral aggregates visible in some foliated metamorphic rocks.
