A pyrotechnician is a person who is responsible for the safe storage, handling, and functioning of pyrotechnics and pyrotechnic devices. Although the term is generally used in reference to individuals who operate pyrotechnics in the entertainment industry, it can include all individuals who regularly handle explosives.

Firework Firer (Firework professionals)

On BPA (British Pyrotechnists Association) card you can find this title.

As clearly explained in the Forum (see link) the reason is maybe that
both solutions suggested by the collegues are in use, however
the term "pyrotechnics" encompasses much more than fireworks, eg. delays, smoke, igniters, flares , screening smoke, ir emmiters etc etc
Both solutions of the colleagues are in Use!
Pyrotechnician = US (bloggers seem to prefer this solution)
Pyrotechnist = UK

Thank You! Your answer is the most complete! However, I think that 'Pyrotechnician' should be the best solution, it sounds better and maybe is more used!

That is what BPA writes.. (their card).. and in this example, yes, 'fazzoletto'..
