Explanation:
natante intended as any type of fishing craft even though it seems it could refer to a pleasure craft. If this is the case I would use fishing net rather than trawling

Per quanto la pesca della tratta fosse un tempo diffusa su tutto il litorale, è andata man mano scomparendo quasi ovunque. Per guadagnare più spazio di pesca in mare, un tipo di rete simile alla tratta veniva trainata a strascico parallelamente alla costa. Prima da una barca a vela che procedeva di traverso con i bracci della rete legati su pennoni che sporgevano a poppa e a prua, più tardi da due barche dal nome Paranze (imbarcazione molto usata nella costa marchigiana e abruzzese) perché trainavano la rete a coppia e procedevano alla pari, la rete che adoperavano veniva chiamata Paranza. Uno stesso tipo di rete derivante dalla tratta, trainata da una Tartana, (imbarcazione simile alla Paranza conosciuta da molto tempo nel Tirreno e in tutto l’Adriatico) veniva chiamata Tartana. Nella nostra zona la rete che si adopera per la pesca a strascico si chiama comunemente Tartana.
In tempi moderni questa rete è stata adattata e perfezionata ed anche ingrandita per essere trascinata da grosse barche a motore con il nome di Volante.
