De term trim wordt in het Nederlands gebruikt in de scheepvaart. Als je het wilt omschrijven, kun je bij van Dale terecht: Trim = de goede, vereiste langsscheepse helling van een schip in het water.
Ik heb het bovendien nagevraagd bij een voormalig personeelslid van de Koopvaardij.
