...i pezzi di plastica colorati trasparenti che si mettono sopra i led in modo che quando si accende la lucetta si colorano. In pratica la parte che ricopre la luce che quando si accende vuol dire che lo scaldabagno elettrico e' acceso.

Ik dacht al aan glaasje, maar aangezien het plastic is kan dat niet, alhoewel ze het op internet hebben over kunststof of plastic glaasje, maar dat vind ik raar klinken... Lens, lensje?

Io usavo spesso "waarschuwingslampje" nelle mie traduzioni tecniche relative alle macchine (camion, macchine ecc...),ma vedo che anche 'verklikkerlichtje' o '-lampje' viene usato per gli elettrodomestici...

In alternativa, ti propongo semplicemente 'lichtje', ma il fatto che ci sia anche 'spia' mi porta a consigliarti il nome 'completo'.

Oups... scusa, letto male. Lascia stare quello che ho scritto qi sopra.
Vuoi sapere la parte che ricopre la luce, ma in questo caso vedo solo "gekleurde plexiglas" o "gekleurde glas", come dici tu... ma in effetti suona 'strano' (anche se da riscontri in rete come vedi), non so, ma quando vedo la tua frase "gemma spia" mi viene solo da dire "verklikkerlampje" o "controlelampje" e non la parte che la ricopre, altrimenti non averbbero aggiunto 'spia', no?? Boh, non so..
Altrimenti direi 'kapje', tipo 'kapje van het controlelampje', che te ne pare??
