Az artériás stenosisok kvantifikálása a morfológiai kép és haemodynamicai hatásuk alapján történhet. Enyhe fokú, haemodynamicai hatással nem járó stenosis mérése csak a morfológiai kép alapján lehetséges. Ennek klasszikus módja az angiographián látható diaméter redukció százalékos megadása. A nemzetközi szakirodalom és a hazai gyakorlat is ezt a módszert használja leggyakrabban [17].
