Hungarian term (edited): inkább életbiztosítás jellegű

I would be very careful when translating this sentence. I guess it is a transcript of an oral interview, so there is a fair amount of vague casual speech. By looking at the sentence only, there is no way to decide what the speaker actually meant. It is entirely possible, that he is talking about a savings plan that is combined with life insurance.

In Hungary, there are special insurance plans that have a fixed term (e.g 20 years) and if you don't "use" the insurance (i. e. don't die) than you get your money back. It is different from regular life insurance that only pays if you die, and if you don't, you lose the money when the insurance terminates.

Since there is no way to decide what the speaker actually meant, I think the safest approach is to translate the sentence literally, with the exact vagueness that is in the original. Since he said "inkább életbiztosítás jellegű", and used the word "életbiztosítás", I would definitely translate it as "more like life insurance", and leave the interpretation (or further questioning) to the lawyers.
