Üdv mindenkinek!

Egy gender témájú esszét fordítok, abban szerepel a fenti kifejezés. A megrendelő ragaszkodna ahhoz, hogy valami témába vágó idióma kerüljön a fordításba is, tudna valaki segíteni nekem? Én már feladtam (eredetileg azt írtam, hogy not even knowing whether she is coming or going - ha nem találok jobbat, hajlandó lesz elfogadni ezt is, de gondoltam, előbb körbekérdezek itt).

{lehet, hogy ez nem PRO-szintű kérdés, akkor elnézést, ez az első kérdésem itt}

Köszönöm!

English translation:she doesn't know what team she's playing for
Explanation:
The metaphor of "playing for a team" is sometimes used for sexual orientation, but I can also see it being used for gender itself. I looked for the pertinent Seinfeld clip, but couldn't find it right off.

If you use the "coming or going" version, leave out "even" -- it's redundant and weakens the effect.
