A házassági fogadalom (holy matromony) szövegéből ered a cím:
"X, take thee, Y, for my wedded wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health, till death do us part, and thereto I plight thee my troth".

"...Hozzá hű leszek, vele megelégszem, vele szentül élek, vele tűrök, vele szenvedek, és őt sem egészségében, sem betegségében, sem boldog, sem boldogtalan állapotában, holtomig vagy holtáig, hitetlenül el nem hagyom, hanem teljes életemben hűséges gondviselője(segítőtársa**) leszek."

Úgy hiszem itt a fordítás a "boldog boldogtalan" lett volna, de a közérthetőség miatt "modernizálták".
