Hungarian term or phrase: természeti érték
Keresem a fenti kifejezés angol nyelvű megfelelőjét, mely a következő mondatban található: ,,A természeti érték közé sorolhatók azok a Fagetalia fajok is, amelyek elsősorban hegy- és dombvidéki tájainkon honosak, míg az Alföldön igen ritkák (...)."

A mondat egy klasszikus ökológiai/temészetvédelmi szemléletű szakcikkben található.

natural asset

Explanation:
Itt az értéket az asset szóval fordítanám, mert ez azt is kifejezi, hogy ez egy maradandó értéket képvisel és ökológiai szövegekben használatos.

Example sentence(s):
  • Although Queensland is a state rich in biodiversity, many of its natural assets have declined to the point that they are now threatened with extinction.

disagree  Impact Language: If you look at the way "assets" is used in the example you quote from the net, it is not the same concept. You can't really talk about a flower as being a natural "asset", which is used to refer to s.t. bigger, e.g. forests or wetlands.

  -> When you talk about species of a tree it is an asset, especially when it forms forests. See here: http://www.jstor.org/stable/3237367?seq=1#page_scan_tab_cont...
