As the dark clouds gather your very shadow seems to envelop the blossoming bud of my heart

Explanation:
In this context of romantic poesy, 'saya' which means 'shadow' has the positive connotation of 'reflection' such as the reflection of stars / moon on a still lake'; or a comforting /protective/ sheltering 'shade' or a 'presence'; and using the word twice gives a sense of the heart blossoming in love and being completely overwhelmed by the feeling of 'presence' or 'reflection' of the beloved. The seasonal allusion to gathering dark clouds herald the most romantic season of a long awaited monsoon by a thirsting earth, and not the English sense of 'dark clouds casting a shadow', which can be the literal translation, but means exactly the opposite of the feelings expressed by the same words in Indian lyrics!
