State School Explanation: It is not the same as State Religious - these are two of the four educational "streams" in Israel. Secular Public School Explanation: The literal translation is "State School". However, the context requires the explanation that it is a "secular" as opposed to "religious" public school, sponsored by the state. Mamalachti Dati is a State (i.e. public) Religious School. There are also Atzma'i (independent private) religious schools. |
