Hebrew term or phrase:

Field Medic/ Paramedic

Explanation:
I've searched a lot and found that the best equivalent is "Field Medic". I've also found the term "Paramedic" which may also be fit.

disagree  Shalom Bresticker: I don't think so. The Hebrew describes him as a doctor in a hospital. A field medic is not in a hospital, and a paramedic is not a doctor.

A training in a specific field or speciality.

Explanation:
This refers to a doctor who is doing specialty training or post-graduate studies. A תחום is a field, and this doctor is training in a particular field.

Notes to answerer
Asker: Hi Geoffrey, thanks for your answer. Also not correct though...because the definition specifically states that said physician has not begun or completed his residency and is neither a specialist or a resident...nor is he a general practitioner. For the purpose of my translation I chose non-specialist physician.
