Hebrew term or phrase: ellioam
interpretation of a new name given.Combination of elliott and -am.
Elliott is supposedly originally Elijah. May not be a real word, but what whould adding an -am to a name do to the name?
Elliott Johnston
English translation:אליועם
Explanation:
In most names of people and places ending with The suffix "am" it is spelled "עם" and means "a nation/people", like Yekhi-am "יחיעם" (the nation shall live).

Comment: The name "Noam" (my daughter's name, by the way) means "pleasantness", and it is used also as suffix in Akhinoam and Avinoam, but the name you've mentioned (Elioam) is missing an "N" for that.

agree  Eynnat: It's highly unlikely that Elliott is derived from Elijah. See also http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~gallgaedhil/
