Accidentals είναι τα *σημεία* αλλοίωσης (οι διέσεις και οι υφέσεις κλπ). Στη συγκεκριμένη περίπτωση όμως αναφέρεται σε αλλοιωμένες συγχορδίες ή φθόγγους και γι' αυτό το λόγο θα χρησιμοποιούσα τη λέξη alteration ή αν πρόκειται για αλλοιωμένη συγχορδία, τον όρο altered chord.
