Being written in Greek chars is not a definite indication since the letters are the same in this case.
In what context is the term is used?

Notes to answerer
Asker: umm... you mean it's in English?! I rather it's something Greek but I'm not sure. I thought it should be something popular enough if they didn't write what the abbreviation stands for in the text but that doesn't seem to be the case

Asker: I checked again, it's typed in Greek not English chars in the text, so I believe it's something Greek

Asker: it's about IT applications, you can find it all over this page for example http://www.dei.gr/ecpage.asp?id=405&nt=110&lang=1 but there's no corresponding English page to it

Asker: Wow, thank you for your concern, it's the Friday before the holidays, hard to find any BOK at work :-)

Asker: I've promised the translation for later today so I guess I'll just go with some sumarizing word like officer there :(
