Initial vs Supplementary Explanation: The male registry refers to the compulsory conscript in the Greek Army. All male Greek citizens are enrolled into this registry following birth by the parents or guardians. This, normal registration (following birth of a Greek male citizen) is called "αρχική εγγραφή". Instead, "προσθετη εγγραφή" refers to the registration of a male who was not born a Greek citizen but who rather acquired Greek citizenship later in life, such as an immigrant who has been naturalized. It also refers to the registration those who were unlawfully, intentionally or accidentally not registered in the male registry following birth. https://www.ypes.gr/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/eggr85441-02122019.pdf |
