German term or phrase: oder ein einheitliches Konzept
Sie erreichen auf diese Weise zwar eine Modularisierung von Anwendungen, aber noch keine Trennung von visuellen Bestandteilen eines Dialogs und der Anwendungslogik oder ein einheitliches Konzept der Kommunikation von einzelnen Objekten der Gesamtanwendung.

I don't understand what "oder ein einheitliches Konzept" here refers back to. Is something missing from the German?

I understand that the German means that, although you can modularize applications, you cannot separate visual components of a dialog and of the application logic but why is "ein einheitliches Konzept" here in the nominative? I don't understand what verb it's meant to have. I thought it might refer back to "Sie erreichen auf diese Weise...ein einheitliches Konzept" but I don't think that makes much sense, nicht wahr?

Selected answer:or a uniform concept
Explanation:
It does'nt refer back to anything. "Konzept" is a neutral: "das Konzept" and it is not in the nominative but in the accusative, e.g.: Ich möchte ein einheitliches Konzept. You see? The verb of the sentence is at the beginning of it all: "erreichen". You forgot about it because you did'nt translate it. "Sie erreichen auf diese Weise" = In this way you obtain......but not the separation......or.....or a uniform concept.....
