Extreme pressure Explanation: Assuming this IS its meaning, I think it is safe to leave it as it is. EP from: http://www.abkuerzungen.de/pc/html/start.php -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2 hrs 38 mins (2005-06-30 08:36:47 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- I have found one site which says \"NO\" to \"Ethylene-propylene\", but I am not a chemist, and I cannot say any more than that... Operating manual LP 2Elastomers made of EP-rubber must never come into contact with mineral oil or grease ... hand screw press (compulsory for seal size > 80 mm). INSTALLATION ... www.tiivistetekniikka.fi/opas/ English/Operating%20manual%20LP%202.htm |

The compact dictionary of exact science and techlology) Reference: http://www.singold-tech.de/de_drosselklappe.html |

-------------------------------------------------- Note added at 3 hrs 8 mins (2005-06-30 09:06:50 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- @ David: As Elvira confirmed that water and glycol are conveyed which are not aggressive liquids, ethylen-propylen should be fine for the seal. As your link confirms, there are just a no-go in terms of mineral oil or grease. Reference: http://www.glt-pforzheim.de/PDF-Files%20Kataloge/2K/Autvalve... |
