Zur Lösung dieses technischen Problems lehrt die Erfindung eine Vorrichtung zum Zählen und/oder Sortieren von Münzen, die in regelloser Folge mit dem Rand an einer Führungskante anliegend auf einer Führungsbahn befördert werden, mit einer Münzenerkennungseinheit aufweisend optische Mittel zur Bestimmung von Münzendurchmessern, wobei die optischen Mittel eine Lichtquelle sowie, bezogen auf eine Münzenhauptflache, der Münze gegenüberliegend lichtempfindliche Sensormittel, welche einfallendes Licht in elektrische Signale umwandeln, aufweisen, wobei das Sensormittel als CCD-Element ausgebildet ist, wobei die Lichtquelle eine Emissionsquelle sowie optische Elemente zur Erzeugung eines parallelen und orthogonal zu einer Münzenhauptfläche stehenden Lichtstrahlenbündels aufweist, wobei die laterale Erstreckung des Lichtstrahlenbündels sowie die Anordnung des CCD-Elements nach Maßgabe zu erkennender Münzendurchmesser so eingerichtet sind, daß durch eine zu erkennende Münze lediglich ein Teil des CCD-Elements abschattbar ist. ¿Cómo se traduciría "Erstreckung" en este contexto?
