Estoy traduciendo un manual de formación para empleados de una tienda de alimentación y me he topado con una expresión que no consigo traducir al español: breiter ziehen.

Bei großen Mengen und [...], empfiehlt es sich, die Artikel breiter zu ziehen.

¿Se refiere a la disposición de los artículos de una determinada manera o a otra cosa?

Explanation:
En caso de escasear los artículos en promoción, reducir / retrasar la colocación de la mercancía en promoción disponible [no colocarla tan seguido en la estantería para que rinda más alargando la duración de la promoción]

Claro que esto depende de su rotación basada en el grado de aceptación de la mercancía en promoción entre los potenciales clientes compradores

Para grandes cantidades [partiendo del supuesto que ya no se trata de artículos en promoción], se recomienda espaciar más los pedidos de los artículos [para no abarrotar la tienda con artículos de alimentación]
