Estoy con una traducción y no entiendo muy bien la segunda parte de la frase. Habla de los defectos de la construcción de una armadura.

Da kein WU-Beton (wasserundurchlässiger Beton mit dem erforderlichen Querschnitt und Rezeptur) verarbeitet wurde, wird aufgrund der zu geringen Betonüberdeckung die vorhandene Bodenfeuchte kapillar vom Beton aufgenommen und bis zur Bewehrung geleitet.

Aquí mi intento:
se recogerá la humedad existente del suelo capilar de hormigón debido al escaso recubrimiento de hormigón y se desviará hasta la armadura

Yo lo entiendo así:
La segunda parte de la frase quiere decir que debido al insuficiente revestimiento de hormigón, la humedad existente en el suelo es absorbida por la capilaridad del hormigón y llevada hasta la armadura.
