Polkörper, auch Polkörperchen oder Richtungskörper genannt, werden im Zuge der Reife- oder Reduktionsteilung (Meiose) gebildet und haften an der (künftigen) Eizelle. Bei vielen Arten legen die Polkörper den animalen Pol der Eizelle fest, nicht so allerdings beim Menschen.

Corpusculul polar este o celula de dimensiuni mici, care conţine unul din nucleii rezultaţi din prima sau a doua diviziune meiotică, nu are citoplasmă şi este eliminat în timpul formării oocitului.
Un sinonim ar fi "polocit".
I se mai spune şi glob polar.
