Sempre in una traduzione dall'olandese, si parla di un esperimento in ambito nucleare che prevedeva:

un bunker coperto di piombo [...] con di fianco una BLITZTURM all’interno della quale si trovava un piccolo ciclotrone.

Ho trovato che blitz significa fulmine e turm torre ma non capisco come legare i due termini. Qualcuno se ne intende?

dato che il ciclotrone è un acceleratore di particelle a funzionamento ciclico, ideato nel 1932 da Lawrence e Livingston per ottenere particelle cariche ad elevata energia da impiegare in esperimenti d’urto, penso che si sia ideata una torre per scaricare l'energia mediante fulmini.
Quindi potrei definirla "torre per generare fulmini" (ovviamente col ciclotrone!)

dato che il ciclotrone è un acceleratore di particelle a funzionamento ciclico, ideato nel 1932 da Lawrence e Livingston per ottenere particelle cariche ad elevata energia da impiegare in esperimenti d’urto, penso che si sia ideata una torre per scaricare l'energia mediante fulmini.
Quindi potrei definirla "torre per generare fulmini" (ovviamente col ciclotrone!)
