Brückenpfeiler, Pfeilerkrone, Ankerzahn, engl.: tooth abutment; einer der Zähne, an welchem ein festsitzender Zahnersatz befestigt ist, wobei der Begriff "Pfeilerkrone" für eine der prothetischen Kronen einer Brücke steht. Im weiteren Sinn auch für die Zähne in Zusammenhang mit einem herausnehmbaren Zahnersatz gebraucht, die eine Halte-/Stützfunktion ( Klammerzahn) für die Teilprothese haben.
