Jede ökologische Bewirtschaftung des Bodens baut Bodenfruchtbarkeit auf und verhindert Verwüstung sowie Erosion. Die Verhinderung der Verwüstung ist – auch angesichts der kleinen Fläche – wohl kaum messbar. Indirekt tragen aber die Verbesserung der Bodenfruchtbarkeit und die Diversifizierung mit der Etagenwirtschaft zur Verminderung der Erosion und damit zur Verhinderung der Verwüstung bei.
