This is from a list of specifications for outlets selling unusual animals. I am having trouble finding the English translation of "futterfest" and would appreciate any suggestions.

agree  langnet: Ja, aber es sollte ein "sufficiently" oder so dazu -> "...die noch nicht futterfest (d.h., Jungtiere, die nicht in der Lage sind, selbständig AUSREICHEND Futter zu sich zu nehmen). Allein fressen können die schon, man muß aber noch ein Auge drauf haben.
