From a brochure advertising various hikes in the Tyrolean Alpine region of northern Italy. For the most part, I can find translations of or explanations for the names of certain geographical features, but I cannot find any enlightenment about the "Confin-Böden" and have absolutely no idea what you would call this geographical feature (as it seems to be) in English. TIA for any light you can shed on it.

Confin-Böden
Explanation:
There doesn't seem to be any other expression for it in English other than variants in spelling

"We reached the Confin Boden all right, but here, for the first time in the course of all our wanderings, found ourselves at fault
in hitting off the exact path. "

I went with "Confin-Boden" without the accent. Hopefully that worked. Many thanks - appreciate your help.
