up-market / top-class Explanation: This would appear to be a reference to the "Hauben" (here = "chefs' hats") system - an alternative to the Michelin star-ratings. http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gault-Millau Officially, they're called "toques" So you'll probably have to rewrite. If the place really does have a "Hauben"-rating, then you could say e.g. "internationally acclaimed" |
