German term or phrase: Chefhotel
There are lots of references to "Chefhotel" (as in "Chefhotel des Jahres") on the Internet, but what exactly does the "chef" bit refer to? Is it business in general, executives, luxury or something else?

I'm sure there must be an English equivalent of "Chefhotel", but I'm damned if I can find one. Suggestions should (please) be backed up with a Web reference.

Many thanks.

Just an alternative option. And this is assuming the hotel context is clear ...

Well, the additional context shows that the survey comprises "Geschäftshotels" AND "Ferienhotels".
So perhaps just "(top) luxury hotels" etc. would suffice.

It may seem nepotistic choosing you as the winner, but you at least set me on the right track. In the end, I'll plump for "executive hotel", which gets a lot of very relevant hits on Google and gives the sense of primarily being for top businessmen (Unternehmer).

Hallo!
