German term or phrase: interessiert
"Wir haben Frau X als eine pünktliche und ***interessierte*** Mitarbeiterin kennengelernt, die ihre Aufgaben zu unserer vollen Zufriedenheit ausgeführt hat."

From a job testimonial about a woman who was employed as a "commis de cuisine" (or assistant cook) in an upmarket Swiss hotel. I'm not sure how best to translate "interessiert" here. I don't like "interested" and at the moment and leaning towards "motivated". But I'm also wondering about something like "eager to learn" given that she was basically at the bottom of the heap in the kitchen of this establishement? TIA for helping me clear this "interesting" problem up.

I don't think I really need to keep this question open any longer, as a clear solution has emerged. Many thanks Ian and all the peer graders, but thanks also to the others who offered an idea - all suggestions were very plausible. Appreciate everyone's help.
