English translation: wide-area organized (supralocal)

German to English translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Telecom(munications) / radio communication
German term or phrase: Breitlen
This term appears in the following context, exactly as is. It looks like to me that there are errors in this sentence and that something is missing (the isolated parenthesis seems odd), but perhaps someone who knows about this technology might be able to make sense of it. There are other errors in this text, which appears to have been (somewhat sloppily, in my opinion) edited, but I was able to make sense of them. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Ein weiteres Beispiel stellen Breitlen) zellularen, hierarchischen Funknetzen existieren drahtlose lokale Netze (WLANs, Wireless Local Area Networks) mit einem in der Regel räumlich deutlich stärker begrenzten Funkabdeckungsbereich.

[0004] Apart from wide-area organized (supralocal) cellular, hierarchical radio networks, there are wireless local area networks (WLANs) having a radio coverage area that is generally spatially delimited to a significantly greater extent. Examples of various standards for WLANs are HiperLAN, DECT, IEEE 802.11, Bluetooth and WATM.

Examples of different standards for WLANs are HiperLAN, DECT, IEEE 802.11, Bluetooth, and WATM.

Note to reference poster
Asker: Thanks. The text you found is a very similar patent to the one I'm working on (same family). As you said, the English translation is a worthless machine translation, but selecting the original German version of this text gives me the complete sentence/paragraph, with all of the parts missing from my text.

Asker: That's exactly what I though, i.e., that something was missing ...somewhere there had to be a "dar" to go with the "stellen"!). Once you all gave me the text with the complete sentence/paragraph, I was able to translate it without any problem. When I send this in tonight, I'll inform the client accordingly.

agree  Björn Vrooman: Great find. Actually, John's first words are from a sentence much earlier in the patent: "Ein weiteres Beispiel stellen Breitbandnetze...dar" Funnily enough, the exact same thing I thought would be there. He's basically missing a whole paragraph.
