Schwimmschuhe

English translation: cross-water walking skis

German term or phrase: Schwimmschuhe
The ones in my text are described as 2.3 metres in length. Here is a link to a different page which must surely show the item in question:
https://www.lr-online.de/lausitz/luckau/ueber-den-schwieloch...
Most images on Google show shoes for swimmers.
I have found a couple of non-ENS pages with suggestions and have a backstop solution.
Thanks in advance.

English translation:cross-water walking skis
Explanation:
A Slovenian (admittedly not necessary an ENS), is devloping similar items and calls them 'cross-water walking skis' (looks like cross-country skiing on the water).

Asker: Thanks. I guess the users are hoping to do more than just stay afloat - and await rescue :-)

agree  philgoddard: Lots of possibilities, but a literal translation works fine.

If someone had to buy these, what would they look for?
I'm thinking "floating" is the keyword. There are a variety of swimming/aqua/water shoes available. But none of them look like these floating shoes.

Asker: Thanks. I guess the users are hoping to do more than just stay afloat - and await rescue :-) Also, we can't be sure that they are inflatable and not just made of naturally buoyant material.

Asker: I am wary of including 'ski' in the translation, as this morpheme is too much associated with the high-speed sport of water skiing. This was the only answer to include the walking element.

stand-up paddle skis

Explanation:
Might sound fun to sports people (not me).

A cross between a stand-up paddle board and water skis.

Actually, "paddle skis" seems to be a common designation for this type of sports equipment.

Paddle skiing, skiing and surf skiing are also great ways to make use of the big blue sea.

Anton started paddle skiing in 1976 at Big Bay... Anton studied personnel management for four years and started the Fury Surfboard factory in Cape Town in 1987 during this time. He’s shaped and laminated thousands of surfboards, windsurf boards and paddleskies.

There's a video/photo, but it's new or not popular in the US (2016).
https://www.ski.com/blog/one-plank-or-two-new-riverskis-enli...
In recent years, we’ve seen daring skiers bring their two-planked set-ups to tow-in surfing sites, and just this week, we learned of a new company making stand-up paddle skis for “river skiing.”

As you can see by my previous Kudoz answers, I totally agree with a literal translation that doesn't have substantial meaning in any predominantly English-speaking society if it's too difficult to find an equivalent ;)

I mean marketed. Brand is ABH2O. That's the most I can do.
Based on my wanderings around the WWW, I actually assumed that Wasserschuhe was a poor translation from a SE Asian language.

You won't be able to use this, but it may still be of interest. The original design was going to be marketed in the US under the name Seawalks.

Another similar article refers the reader to the site www.schwimmschuhe.de for more information. On that site, the terms Schwimmschuhe and Wasserwanderschuhe are used interchangeably.

Asker: Thanks for Beachwalker. This put me onto the idea of 'walker' also being a name for the footwear.
