I wonder if you also felt that your contribution was somehow diminished by the closing comment from the asker (“Thanks, Peter”). We all worked quite hard to research the asker’s problem and to propose solutions, some more viable than others. A general vote of thanks would have been appreciated, but where the message is so specifically targeted (“Thanks, Peter”), it’s almost like telling the rest of us that we were wasting the asker’s time.
NB: This is NOT a criticism of the asker’s ultimate choice which, as we all know, would be against KudoZ rules.
