German term or phrase: Ball über die Schnur
In a report of a pupil in a German "Heimsonderschule", there is a list of various ball games the student has participated in. Here is the list:

"... zu den Ballsportarten wie, Tischtennis, Ball über die Schnurr, Hallenfußball..."

Does this sport have a specific name in English or should I just translate as "ball over the string"?

Thanks,

Stephen

I know this is not exactly the same, but it's a near equivalent that everyone will understand.

Basically it's the same as volleyball, but you're allowed to hold the ball.
