German term or phrase: Körper und Kopf wollen da einfach nicht reinfallen
A quote made by a climber:

Alte Schlaghaken lassen mich besser Klettern – Körper und Kopf wollen da einfach nicht reinfallen.

I'm afraid that this is a stand-alone quote with no further context. I've currently translated the first half as "Old pitons help me climb" but don't quite follow the second half. I wondered if it involved some sort of play on words (based on the idea of pitons stopping you from falling) but that really is a bit of a guess.

body and soul simply fall for them

if it's what I think it could, possibly be, that is, a pun with "fall", maybe, perhaps

Thanks everyone for all your input. I ended up going for: Fixed pitons help me climb but my body and soul just won't fall for the idea. Ramey's suggestions in the discussion seemed closest to this.

Body and soul simply don't want to fall in with it.

Explanation:
It is easier with the fixed pitons but isn't the same as climbing using your own route.
