Daraus ergibt sich, dass Innovation nicht von selbst funktioniert, sie braucht gesamtgesellschaftliche Diskussion und Akzeptanz.In diesem Sinne hat Bundesforschungsministerin Edelgard Bulmahn auch richtig gehandelt, als sie Leitprojekte für die zukünftige Nanoforschung zur Förderung ausgeschrieben hat. Aber diese müssen medial vermittelt werden.

agree  Ken Cox: Seems to fit the context, although the usage is a bit strange (FWIW, Oxford/Duden translates it as 'mediumistic' in the context of parapsychology, but that's not likely what the author meant ;-).
