agree  Ken Cox: Yep, this sort arrangement is often used in NA to refund parking fees if you buy something in the affiliated shop, but in Germany they probably want to encourage people to use public transport.

neutral  Ian M-H (X): I think the point is that you hand your bus ticket to the cashier when shopping in the Altstadt and get a discount equivalent to the fare
