Blanket-liability creditor / Full-liability guarantor Explanation: I am not sure whether the above expressions fit, but I include them in case they inspire something useful. On Wikipedia Globalgrundschuld redirects to Gesamtgrundschuld https://de.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Globalgrundschuld... On Linguee there is only one hit for Globalgrundschuld, which has for the specific context "blanket land charge", which might perhaps be generalised to something like "blanket liability". https://www.linguee.com/english-german/search?source=auto&qu... Similarly, dict.cc has "blanket mortgage" for Globalgrundschuld. https://www.dict.cc/german-english/Globalgrundschuld.html "Blanket guarantee" is certainly a phrase sometimes used in finance (and elsewhere) http://documents.worldbank.org/curated/en/660281468323977910... https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S026156061... As is "blanket liability". But "blanket creditor" and "blanket guarantor" don't seem to work quite so well. So I came up with "blanket-liability creditor". I cannot see another type of creditor that fits better. https://www.insolvency.govt.nz/owed-money/types-of-creditor/ https://rapseygriffiths.com.au/corporate-insolvency/creditor... Nor can I find a list of various types of guarantor. Another option, related to "blanket land charge" and "blanket mortgage", might be to translate Gläubiger as "mortgagee"? https://premisesliability.uslegal.com/occupation-and-control... Then I wondered about other words instead of "blanket". Perhaps "full" or "total"? I did find a few instances of "full-liability guarantor" https://www.bing.com/search?q=+"full-liability guaranto... So this is also a prospect. Maybe the translation should include a footnote. ~~~~~~~~~~ "Global creditors" doesn't seem applicable, as it suggests (i) a variety of creditors located in various places around the world, or (ii) entities that offer credit around the world, and especially (iii) countries that are nett lenders of money to other countries. |
