Although both terms sound ok, I would opt for 'copy' as 'transfer' insinuates that they may be deleted from the original source location, which is not necessarily the case. Also, Windows reference material uses the term 'copy'.

disagree  Mark Straver: Uploading is only used if you actually transfer something to a remote system (and usually limited to a server), the same as downloading is limited to the same for the reverse direction. You don't "upload" something to a floppy disk either.
