"Das maximale Flächengewicht einer Postkarte hat die Stärke einer klassischen Pommesschale. Das minimale Flächengewicht einer Postkarte hat die Stärke einer klassischen Postkarte."

I've found "grammage" as an paper industry-specific term but that may be too specific for my context. Would service weight work?

And what is a Pommesschale? Is that a potato skin or a "Tute" for Pommesfrites
