Die genannten Schwächen zählen aber in jedem Falle zu den ** Härtefällen ** in der betrieblichen Kommunikation.

Ich finde nur 'hardship cases' oder 'cases of hardship', denke aber das ist irgendwie zu stark.
Auf der Seite vor diesem Satz wurden eine ganze Reihe Probleme genannt, die in der betrieblichen Kommunikation aufträten können. Dieser Satz steht am Ende und ich denke er soll das gesammte zuvor genannte Szenario etwas abschwächen, bzw. deutlich machen, daß nicht alle diese Probleme immer und in der genannten Form auftreten.

Explanation:
I don't see anything wrong with using the literal translation. A hard case is a difficult problem, one that can't easy be solved, a "tough nut to crack". (A hardship case or case or hardship is entirely different - that would usually refer to a situation of poverty or deprivation, and isn't appropriate here.) The saying "hard cases make bad law" is an example of "hard case" being used with just the meaning that you are looking for - I think it's entirely appropriate in this context (but I would keep the inverted commas, as in German).
