I have this several times in a quite short promo piece for a DVD of people such as John Lee Hooker, B.B. King and ROy Orbison. For example:

"Der Film zeigt neue, aber auch viele alte Ausschnitte von Konzerten, Proben, Touren, dem Backstage-Bereich und Interviews mit ..."

"Unterbrochen wird es durch (kurze) Ausschnitte von Auftritten und Musikvideos wie ..."

"Im ersten Teil der DVD sind u. a. Konzertausschnitte zu Songs wie „Making Love is Good For You“ oder ... zu sehen."

Hmmm, well, I was trying to avoid “clip” because I didn´t feel it really fit with the styleof the piece. But in viewof the consensus here I gave in and used it a couple of times, varying it with “extract” and Frances´ “excerpt”. Thanks Brie, and your many agreers.
