German term or phrase: hochauflösende Phasenmessung
The is a patent, and the word "hochauflösende" only occurs in the title: "Hochauflösende Phasenmessung an einem optischen Signal".
High-dissolution? I don't see what dissolving has to do with an optical signal.
The invention is further described as "Ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung des Phasenunterschiedes zwischen zwei Frequenzbändern im Spektrum einer elektromagnetischen Probestrahlung".
I wonder if it could be "scattering"? The title of a reference work is given in English as "Theoretical and experimental investigation of Brillouin scattering for the generation of millimeter waves".
