At the level of the T12 vertebrae

Explanation:
The descending aorta, aka the thoracic aorta, ends at the T12 vertebrae. The abdominal aorta continues from there downwards. Drawing on Phil's observations on the length of this section of the aorta, and interpreting this term to mean something like 'at a point of anatomical transition', maybe this would work.

Explanation:

This may indeed be a misspelling.

"equiatomic" could be referred to a frame for a prosthesis. Although it’s difficult to be sure without any more context.
